After completing his law studies at the University of Zurich, from 1988 to 1992 Christian Bretscher served as party secretary for the FDP in Canton Zurich. Since 1992 he has been active as a communication consultant and a member of the Swiss Public Relations Association SPRV.
From 1992 to 2003 he functioned as consultant, Board Member and Co-Partner of Piar (today: communicators). In 2003 he founded the PR agency bretscher & partner.
bretscher & partner is specialised in creating strategic and conceptual solutions, issue- and crisis management, political representation of interests, litigation PR, as well as the management and support of organisations and institutions.
Since 1991 Christian Bretscher has served as Chairman of the Board of Bresco AG; since its founding in 2001, he has been a member the Foundation Board of Swiss Travel Security STS; since 2003 as Business Director of Pro Flughafen; since 2008 in the Board of Directors of Swiss Casinos Services AG and since 2009 in the Foundation Board of Zurich High Altitude Clinics.
